
Lindsay Pennal
Executive Director, NHL Coaches’ Association
Based in Toronto, Lindsay Pennal brings over 18 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, marketing, and communications across diverse sectors including financial services, biosciences, technology, education, and professional sports.
Lindsay spent a decade in progressively senior roles within the Canadian financial services industry from 2006 to 2016, with a focus on strategic growth and business transformation initiatives. Following this, she founded a consulting practice that provided advisory services in corporate development and marketing strategy to clients across North America.
Lindsay began consulting for the NHL Coaches’ Association in 2016 and formally joined the organization in 2019 as its President. She was appointed Executive Director of the NHLCA on September 1, 2023. In her leadership role, she is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Association, advancing advocacy for NHL coaches, expanding programming for coach development, and enhancing industry partnerships across the league and beyond.
In addition to her executive role, Lindsay is a champion for gender and racial equity in sport and an advocate for leadership development. She is a frequent speaker and panelist on topics such as organizational strategy, women in leadership, and sport governance.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Tahnee Simon
Chief of Staff, NHL Coaches’ Association
Tahnee Simon is a strategic marketing and brand leader with over a decade of experience working with some of Canada’s largest and most recognized companies across major consumer sectors including luxury, retail, technology, and financial services. Known for her forward-thinking, data-driven approach, she has led transformative brand strategies, high-impact integrated campaigns, and innovative partnerships that have delivered measurable commercial success.
Tahnee brings a passion for building strong relationships, fostering collaboration, and driving operational excellence to support the Association’s strategic priorities. She is recognized for her ability to translate complex objectives into actionable plans and for her commitment to delivering results that enhance brand reputation and drive growth.
Tahnee holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Brock University and a Digital Marketing Management Certificate from the University of Toronto.
Robyn Masters
Senior Manager, Partnerships & Events
Robyn Masters is an accomplished professional with over a decade of expertise in event management and operations, marketing, and sponsorships. Since January 2024, she has served as Senior Manager of Partnerships & Events at the NHL Coaches’ Association, where she excels in cultivating partner relationships and implementing revenue growth strategies. Prior to this, she was the Operations Manager for the Toronto Arrows Rugby Club, where she played a key role in overseeing event logistics and sponsorship initiatives.
Robyn holds a Bachelor of Arts from Huron University College.
Hannah Turnbull
Senior Manager, Marketing & Operations
Hannah Turnbull brings over five years of expertise in marketing, operations, events, and programming across various sectors of the sports industry. Her experience spans both Provincial and National Sport Organizations as well as professional sports, including hockey, baseball, rugby, athletics, softball, and soccer. Since joining the NHLCA in 2018 as an intern, Hannah has consistently demonstrated her versatility by supporting multiple areas of the organization. In her current role, she develops and implements marketing and communication initiatives, oversees continuing education resources and programming, and provides support to the NHLCA’s member coaches.
Hannah holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA (Marketing) from the Australian Institute of Business.
