About Kenny McCudden
Kenny McCudden, joined the Capitals in July after spending the last eight seasons as an assistant coach with the Columbus Blue Jackets. A Chicago native, McCudden joined the Blue Jackets in 2015 as a skills coach after spending 16 seasons as the skating and skills coach for the AHL’s Chicago Wolves. With Chicago, McCudden helped the Wolves advance to the 2005 Calder Cup Finals and capture the Calder Cup championship in 2008.
McCudden has worked with numerous NHL players and prospects as a skills coach and instructed at development camps for the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues and Atlanta Thrashers. In addition, McCudden served as the skating and skills coach for the United States Women’s National Team from 2011-14 and as a scout for the silver medal-winning squad at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
About Angelo Ricci
Angelo Ricci is an Assistant Coach, Skills with the Philadelphia Flyers, having joined the Flyers ahead of the 2019 season as a skills Coach. Ricci has over 23 years of experience, previously spending four seasons with the Buffalo Sabres as a Development Consultant. Over his career, Ricci has helped develop more than 1,000 players each season, running more than 40 camps. Ricci also consults and works with numerous other professional and elite players such as Seth Jones, Caleb Jones, Tyler Bozak, Brandon Carlo, and Troy Terry to name a few.
About Mark Ciaccio
Mark has been the Skills Coach for the New York Rangers and their affiliates since 2013. Prior to joining the Rangers, Mark spent 12 years with the Arizona Coyotes as their tactical skating and skills coach. Through his career he’s trained 600 NHL players as well as worked with many players from the US Women’s Olympic Team.
About Derik Johnson
Derik Johnson was promoted to Skill Coach in October 2022 after having joined the LA Kings in 2018. He spent the first four seasons with the team as an assistant video coach while also working with players on the ice after morning skates and filling in on the bench for games during the 2021-2022 season. Prior to joining the Kings, Derik was a video coach with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League for the 2017-18 season. As a player, Derik was a defenseman at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and went on to play professionally for three seasons in the ECHL as well as skating in four games with the Springfield Falcons.
