Mike Kelly has over 30 years of coaching experience in the NHL, AHL, OHL, QMJHL, and Canadian University (U Sports). Most recently, Kelly was the Assistant Coach with the Vegas Golden Knights serving under Gerrard Gallant from 2017 to 2020. Before joining Vegas in their inaugural season, he served as Assistant Coach with the Florida Panthers for three seasons. He began his coaching career in 1988 with the London Knights of the OHL and was named U Sports (then CIAU) Coach of the Year in 1998 when he was the head coach of the University of New Brunswick men’s hockey team. In 2011, he was the Director of Hockey Operations for the Saint John Sea Dogs when the team won the QMJHL Championship and CHL Memorial Cup.

On an International stage, with Team Canada, he has won a U20 World Junior Championships bronze medal in 2001, two U20 World Junior Championships silver medals in 2002 and 2003 and a U18 World Junior Championship gold medal in 2003.
