The coaching carousel keeps on spinning as teams around the league make changes behind the bench. This offseason has been particularly busy with nine head coach hirings, and one vacancy left in San Jose.
Sometimes it seems like there’s an infinite number of names for these slots that keep rotating around the league. That holds true this year with six coaches getting hired after previously coaching at this level. But there are also some coaches getting a look who have yet to hold this position; three hires so far fit the bill.
Experience, or even a lack thereof, isn’t always everything — although some teams hire based on that. Actual fit should be of the utmost importance. So, how does this offseason’s batch of head coaching hires fit with their new squads? Which hires are inspired and which are just tired? Let’s take a closer look.
