The NHL Coaches’ Association and our members mourn the loss of Bob Jones who passed away on July 26, 2024 following a courageous battle against ALS. Bob enjoyed a long career in hockey as a player and a decorated coach, having spent almost 30 years in the National Hockey League, American Hockey League and Ontario Hockey League. An advocate for ALS following his diagnosis in December 2022, Bob dedicated his time to raising money for the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation and supporting others facing their difficult battles. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones and many friends across the hockey community.
