CHICAGO – Jeremy Colliton received a call from Chicago Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman. This itself was not uncommon. Colliton — then the coach of the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs — had steady communication with Bowman in his first 18 months on the job. But on this call, Bowman asked something unusual: “Can I come over?”
